Range Officer Level I Class

Sunday, October 22nd, 2006

I have sent email to known RGPSC members about a tentatively planned class to be held in Albuquerque. If you have not received that post, and are interested in the class (and you are, or plan to be, a USPSA member), then contact me at ty42315@yahoo.com, and I’ll forward the post sent to the RGPSC members.

Thx,

Stats Help Needed

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Would you like to shoot matches and still be warm in the winter and cool in the summer?  How can that be possible, you ask???  You too can be the stats person and warm up or cool down during matches in the lovely stat shack!!!

Seriously, I’m trying to get a jewelry business going and may miss some matches due to craft fairs where I will be selling my jewelry.  Rod Cassidy and I are the only ones who know the whole procedure from sign-up through posting the scores.  We would really like to have some other people trained in case we aren’t at a match.  It isn’t hard - the computer program is very “user friendly”.  Either place a comment on this post or email me at hudsonsabq@yahoo.com or call 821-6296.

YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!!!

Practice / Orientation Matches

Tuesday, October 10th, 2006

We’ve confirmerd a practice and orientation match each month on the 4th Sunday. All shooters, RGPSC members or not, are welcome to attend. The purpose is to have a practice session of members, and to have an orientation to our game for new shooters. For the new shooters, expect to be introduced to the safety protocols required, as well as receiving shooting tips from experienced USPSA shooters. RGPSC members love to share their shooting knowledge, and promote new competition. We tried one of these on October 7. We set up one stage, six shooters shot it twice. Changed it a little, we all shot it twice again. Changed it yet it again, we all shot it twice again. Well almost. Some of us ran out of ammo, or had to split. Point is, we can get in a lot of practice, have fun doing it, and encourage some new folks to give it a try. cya there!

Magazine Tips

Friday, October 6th, 2006

A tip I learned about pistol magazines. Besides keeping them clean, It helps to polish them inside and out. Use Flitz polish and a dremel tool. After a while of using them in IPSC competition they will get dents and small burrs. This polishing just helps them work a lot better. Going into the pistol and feeding ammo.
