Practice / Orientation Matches
We’ve confirmerd a practice and orientation match each month on the 4th Sunday. All shooters, RGPSC members or not, are welcome to attend. The purpose is to have a practice session of members, and to have an orientation to our game for new shooters. For the new shooters, expect to be introduced to the safety protocols required, as well as receiving shooting tips from experienced USPSA shooters. RGPSC members love to share their shooting knowledge, and promote new competition. We tried one of these on October 7. We set up one stage, six shooters shot it twice. Changed it a little, we all shot it twice again. Changed it yet it again, we all shot it twice again. Well almost. Some of us ran out of ammo, or had to split. Point is, we can get in a lot of practice, have fun doing it, and encourage some new folks to give it a try. cya there!

The 1st practice match was this am, with only Cassidy and me showing up. The weather was beautiful, no wind, great shooting conditions.
We set up a 24 rd stage with poppers, a swinger and ports. Totally had a great time, trying different ways to shoot the stage and then trying to shoot it the best we could using the strategy we thought fit our style better.
I found it better to go left-right-center array last, and Rod shot better right-center-left.
We both learned a bunch - like there is plenty of room for improvement - and had a ball. Anyone that wants to try out the sport and experienced shooters that want some great practice oughta join us.
4th Sunday. 9:00. We’ll be there!

newbie at USPSA type shooting, I went to the range and was greeted by a couple of really friendly people last Sat. They patiently explained the rules/ scores etc.
I can’t wait for the 4th Sunday, I hope you will still have it, being the thanksgiving weekend…?
