Mud Pie
Sunday, January 28th, 2007Last weekend’s snow turned into something entirely different for this Sunday’s regular practice match. A warm New Mexico sun and some very frozen ground soon started becoming a big mud pie. By mid morning, ten real shooters were slogging around on one of Jerry’s more torturous stages. Some grown adults were observed playing patty-cake in the mud like five year olds, and one of Jerry’s magazines, on a reload, landed, and stayed, full vertical in the mud.
We soon began to wonder which was more fun: The Snow or The Mud? The gang just kept coming back for more slip-sliding away. As the day wore on, the ground thawed more, and we found ourselves getting stuck. Even real shooters have to admit to defeat. Aw, the thrill of victory and the agony of da feet.
